Quality Manager
Location: Andover
Salary: Circa £52,000 per annum + bi-annual bonuses
Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 (Includes an early Friday finish)
Start Date: October 2026 (Negotiable based on notice period)
About the Role
Are you an experienced engineering quality professional who thrives on leading by example? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Manager to join an established and expanding company.
In this role, you will champion a collaborative ethos that encourages personal growth and shared ideas. Leading a dedicated team of five, you will work closely with the Senior Management Team to maintain rigorous standards while driving continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Provide hands-on management, training, and mentorship to a team of 5, including setting objectives and conducting appraisals.
- QMS Management: Establish, implement, and maintain all processes required for the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Inspection & Compliance: Carry out and review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and oversee inspection of incoming/outgoing goods to ensure full paperwork compliance.
- Non-Conformance & CARs: Manage non-conformances, investigate product returns to conclusion, and author comprehensive corrective action reports.
- Data & Reporting: Analyse test data to make strategic recommendations and maintain accurate quality records.
- Supplier & Calibration: Conduct Vendor Assessments (including supplier site visits) and arrange external calibration certifications.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Industry Background: Proven quality assurance experience within engineering or a closely related manufacturing sector.
- Standards & Processes: Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 (experience with PPAP is highly desirable).
- Technical Literacy: Ability to read and confidently interpret complex technical drawings.
- People Management: A track record of supporting, developing, and inspiring a small, hands-on team.
- Key Attributes: Meticulous attention to detail, proactive initiative, strong IT literacy, and excellent interpersonal skills.
