Do you live in commutable distance to Southampton? Are you looking for a role that is “out of the ordinary” and incorporates travel around the UK with frequent trips working away?
The company we are recruiting for, design and build bespoke activity equipment and ideally seek someone who has either maintenance experience within outdoor activity centres but will consider applicants with maintenance and light repair experience.
The role of Maintenance Technician will suit if you enjoy or have experience of working outdoors, and the flexibility to work away for up to several weeks at a time.
The role of Maintenance Technician a permanent, full-time position which offers:
- Salary: Between £30,000 – £40,000 per year DOE
- 28 days holiday, rising 1 day per year
- Private Healthcare
- You will be provided a company vehicle and food & travel allowance with accommodation whilst working away on-site included.
As Maintenance Technician you will be working with a regular team, and your role includes:
- Site visits will include travel and frequent overnight stays around the UK
- Repair and maintenance of outdoor equipment i.e zipwires/climbing apparatus/light machinery/timber structures
- Undertaking routine assessments, H& S checks
- Communicating with customers on site and ensuring paperwork completed accurately
Maintenance Technician skills/experience
- Flexibility to work away for up to several weeks at a time
- Confidence to work alone on a customer site without supervision
- “Hands-on” dexterous
- Experience in carpentry, machine/plant maintenance/groundwork or similar environment
- Ability to follow H&S protocol
- Enthusiasm, energy and initiative
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Practical mind-set
- Full UK driving licence
