Are you an experienced warehouse professional with a full UK Driving License and a passion for customer service? Do you live within a close proximity to Andover? We are recruiting on behalf of an established, family-run business in Andover seeking a permanent, full-time Warehouse Operative / Driver to join their collaborative team.
This dual-aspect role offers a fantastic balance of operations, consisting of roughly 65% delivery driving and 35% hands-on warehouse duties. Position: Permanent, Full-time
Location: Based in Andover, Hampshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 1630 with an early finish on a Friday
Salary: £27,000 per year plus annual bonus
Start Date: Target start date 2nd November 2026 (with flexibility to start sooner for the right candidate)
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Deliveries (65% of the role)
- Local Transits: Execute local deliveries and collections efficiently, representing the company professionally during face-to-face customer interactions.
- Vehicle Loading: Securely load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring all goods match transit documentation perfectly.
Warehouse Operations (35% of the role)
- Order Fulfilment: Pick and pack orders accurately for goods out, ensuring high standards of presentation.
- Inventory Management: Assist with goods in, maintain accurate stock checks, and handle the bagging down of bulk stock items.
- Manual Handling: Perform regular, repetitive light, medium, and heavy lifting tasks (up to 30kg safely).
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of warehouse environment experience is essential.
- Driving Licence: Full UK Driving Licence with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
- Education: GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Physical Fitness: Physically capable of handling regular heavy lifting up to 30kg.
- Customer Focus: A true “people person” who thrives on delivering great face-to-face customer service during deliveries.
Core Attributes:
Highly organised, able to work under pressure to tight deadlines, capable of following instructions carefully, and comfortable working on your own initiative or as part of a small team.
IT Skills: Basic IT literacy (Microsoft Office) is preferred.
