Due to expansion, we are now recruiting on behalf of a growing organisation in Andover for an experienced Marketing Data Analyst. This new role sits with the Marketing team. Focusing on marketing, you will be interpreting data, developing Power BI reports, and making recommendations based on your findings. By analysing and interpreting trends in complex data sets, you will directly contribute to the data insights that help develop and implement marketing strategies.
Office based Monday – Friday 0900 – 1700. The role offers a salary of up to £40,000 per year, free on-site parking, 30 days holiday plus 8 days bank holidays. Please note that no hybrid options are available therefore all applicants should live within a reasonable proximity to Andover, Hampshire.
Data Analyst responsibilities:
- Create and maintain descriptive Power BI dashboards and visualisations.
- Analyse customer, market, and competitor data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
- Develop Power BI reports for the Marketing team highlighting business performance and the competitive landscape.
- Query complex relational databases to build reports and extract data sets for analysis.
- Use statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop data insights for lead generation, customer acquisition, and retention.
- Monitor and forecast marketing and sales trends, analysing data.
- Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to optimise marketing campaigns.
Essential experience:
- Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Proficiency in querying relational database management systems utilising SQL.
- Proven working experience as a data analyst.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable skills:
- Experience writing Python for data analysis and statistics.
- Knowledge of digital marketing tools and techniques.
- Proven experience as a data analyst, preferably in a marketing department.
