We are currently recruiting on behalf of a medium size distribution company who are based in Andover. They now seek a Trainee Warehouse Operative who they will offer training, support and development.
- Location: Andover, Hampshire
- Salary: £24,000 per year
- Hours: Monday – Friday 0800-1630 and early finish on a Friday
- Permanent role, full-time
- Holidays: 23 days plus 8 days bank holidays
The role of Trainee Warehouse Operative is an entry level role and as such would appeal to applicants who have at least 6 months working experience (ideally within a stores/warehouse or hands-on role although not essential) and most importantly are eager to learn the ropes.
As Trainee Warehouse Operative you will be working within the goods-in department and assist with bagging stock, checking stock levels and ensuring accuracy of transfer documentation. You will have strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
Trainee Warehouse Operative responsibilities:
- Packing items
- Goods in
- Picking/packing
- Undertaking and assisting with regular stock checks
- Entering stock onto database
- Adhere to Health & Safety standards
Essential skills & experience
- Physically able to regularly lift light, medium and heavy goods
- Ability to follow instructions
- Preferably at least 6 months experience within a warehouse/stores or hands-on role
- Good dexterity skills
- Time management
- Team player
- GCSE English and Maths
