Trainee Warehouse Operative | Andover | Ernest & Co Recruitment
We are currently searching for a Trainee Warehouse Operative who would love to learn and grow within their next role. The ideal Trainee Warehouse Operative will be someone who has recently finished their studies with approx. 6 months -1 years previous practical work experience within the stores/retail warehouse setting. You must be physically fit to lift items (up to 25kg) and enjoy working in a team setting.
This role will involve being trained in several areas of the business (initially within the warehouse) for an established company. They are specifically seeking a passionate individual with enthusiasm and drive to evolve and develop within this role.
Location: Andover, Hampshire
Salary: £24,000 per year.
Permanent role, full-time. Monday – Friday daytime shifts
As Trainee Warehouse Operative you will be working within the goods-in department and assisting with bagging stock, checking stock levels and ensuring accuracy of transfer documentation. You will have strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
Trainee Warehouse Operative responsibilities:
- Packing items
- Goods in
- Picking/packing
- Undertaking and assisting with regular stock checks
- Entering stock onto database
- Adhere to Health & Safety standards
Essential skills & experience
- GCSE English and Maths
- Physically able to regularly lift light, medium and heavy goods
- Ability to follow instructions
- Preferably at least 6 months experience within a warehouse/stores role
- Good dexterity skills
- Time management
- Team player
